Report abuse or a copyright problem
Template, not legal advice. This page is a starting point for the person who runs this service. A qualified lawyer must review and adapt it before the service is opened to the public. Remove this notice only after that review.
Use the form below to tell the administrators of Altron about content or behaviour that breaks the Acceptable Use Policy, or about material that infringes your copyright. Reports are stored for the administrators, who read them in the admin console. What you write, including any contact details, is kept as described in the Privacy Policy.
What to include
- Where it is. The share link or web address, or the folder path and file name, and the username of the person who put it there, if you know it. Files here are private and encrypted, so we cannot find anything without this.
- What is wrong. Which rule you think is broken, and why. For a copyright claim, say which work you own or represent and that the use is not authorised.
- How to reach you. A name and a way to contact you, so that we can ask a question or answer you. A copyright claim needs this. Without it, we cannot ask you questions or reply.
Copyright claims
A copyright claim is handled under the process on the Copyright and takedown page. To be a valid notice it must contain all the elements listed there, including your signature, a statement of good-faith belief and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the owner. Please read that page before you send a claim.
Child sexual abuse material
Do not attach, copy or forward the material, even to report it. Give only the location, as described above. We remove it and report it to the authorities. You can also report it yourself, for example to NCMEC (CyberTipline) in the United States, to the IWF in the United Kingdom, or to an INHOPE hotline in your country.
Emergencies
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. The administrators do not watch this form around the clock.
What happens next
- An administrator reads the report. We cannot promise a reply or a response time.
- Copyright claims follow the process on the Copyright and takedown page.
- For other abuse we may remove content, restrict or end an account, or take no action. We may act without telling you.
Before you send
Make reports honestly and in good faith. A copyright claim that you know to be false can make you liable for damages under section 512(f) of the DMCA, and we may ignore reports that are abusive or made to harass.
If the form does not work, write to deejaysholay@gmail.com.
