Altron

Terms of Service

Template, not legal advice. This page is a starting point for the person who runs this service. A qualified lawyer must review and adapt it before the service is opened to the public. Remove this notice only after that review.

These terms are an agreement between you and DJ SHOLAY ("we", "us"), who run Altron at https://altrondj.duckdns.org. By signing up, signing in or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

1. What the service is

Altron is a private service, not a public hosting, streaming or distribution site. It has two separate parts: a file server, which stores your files in encrypted form and uses Telegram as its only storage, and a set of music tools (Intron, Remaster and a link downloader) that run on our server.

2. Your account

3. Three separate permissions

Being approved does not give you everything. An administrator grants access in three separate parts, and can withdraw any of them at any time, with or without notice:

Having one of these never gives you another.

4. Your content

"Your content" means the files you put on the file server and the files you give to or make with the music tools.

5. Downloading from links

The link downloader is available only to people an administrator has chosen. You may use it only to fetch content that you have the right to download and keep, and only in ways the source site allows. You are responsible for what you ask it to fetch. We can switch it off, for you or for everyone, at any time.

6. Acceptable use, reports and takedowns

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. If you believe something on the service infringes your copyright, follow the process on the Copyright and takedown page. Other abuse can be reported with the report form. We may remove content and restrict or end accounts when these terms are broken or when the law requires it.

7. Availability, and no warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or secure, or that your files will never be lost. In particular, your files are kept only in Telegram, which we do not control: Telegram can limit, block or delete the storage we use, and if that happens your files can be lost for good. Keep your own copies of anything that matters. We may change, suspend or stop the service at any time.

8. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of files or data, loss of profit, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using the service at any time, and you can ask us to close your account by writing to deejaysholay@gmail.com. We may suspend or end your account, remove content, or withdraw any of the three permissions if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop running the service. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 4, 7, 8 and 11) continue after your account ends.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When a change matters, we raise the version number of the terms and you are asked to accept the new version when you next sign in. Until you accept it you can only accept the terms, change your password, set up your authenticator app again if asked, or sign out. If you do not accept, you may not use the service. For small corrections, such as fixing a typing mistake, we only change the date this page was last updated.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Virginia, USA, and the courts of the State of Virginia, USA decide disputes about them. If you are a consumer, this does not take away rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law where you live.

12. General

These terms, together with the Acceptable Use Policy, the Copyright and takedown page and the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If part of them cannot be enforced, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else; we may transfer them to whoever takes over running the service.
